ICONZ is a kiwi organisation and is part of the Boys Brigade. We aim to provide boys with a fun environment where they can take part in activities that develop useful skills and make new friends. We encourage teamwork, cooperation, physical activity and craft. We are a Christian organisation. At the moment, ICONZ Hornby caters for boys aged 8-10 years old. We usually meet between 6.30pm and 8.00pm on Thursday evenings in the Reima Centre.
Some of the activities we carried out last year included: go-Kart racing, eeling, archery, fire lighting, and much more. We meet in Hornby, Christchurch.
If you are interested in joining contact Anthony White on 349 0291.
ICONZ Adventure Hornby is off to a great start for 2010. We started by launching lemonade bottle rockets tens of meters in the air. There are plenty more of fun activities coming up. Check out our ICONZ blog to see what sort of things we do.

This is a project we worked on in 2007. A leader prepared the wooden parts as a kit and the boys assembled it on the night. Ambitious boys could try making another toolbox from scratch by cutting the parts themselves at home. Once the glue has dried the toolbox can be decorated (e.g. paint test pots). Note: the rebate at the bottom of the ends is not essential but helps with assembling the toolbox square.
